Abdul Khoza was born on 14 August in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

He is the younger brother of Sthembiso Khoza, who is also a well-known actor, musician, radio presenter, and TV host. Their father is the National President of the Independent Municipal and Allied Trade Union.
