Sumanth Reddy was born on 21 April 1980 (age 43 years; as of 2023) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

He did his schooling at the Cambridge Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chennai, Tamil Nadu and at St. Bede’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Chennai. Fascinated by acting since childhood, Vaibhav often participated in various cultural functions at his school.

Vaibhav took his acting training at Asha Chandra School of Acting, Mumbai and Satyanand Acting Institute, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
